Last month, the French Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Family Affairs published a practical guide for employees on fixed-term employment contracts, designed to provide key information on the main legal aspects of precarious contracts: form and content of the fixed-term contract, reasons for using it, maximum duration and termination procedures.
This publication is part of the 2023-2025 multi-year plan drawn up by the Administration, which guides the action of the Labour Inspectorate and ensures the coordination of all services and agents : noting an intensification in the use of short-term contras and practices to circumvent cases of recourse to precarious contracts, the Labour Inspectorate system has launched a national control campaign in 2025 relating to the fight against the abusive use of precarious contracts.
